L!VE ASBURY PARK is an exciting new non-profit, live entertainment company. Inspired by the rich history of entertainment and music of this City, L!VE ASBURY PARK will present musicals, concerts, plays and other events that will engage and enrich the diverse community of Asbury Park. The creative team consists of Artistic Director Carlos Armesto, Creative Producer Alecia Brooks, and Music Impresario Michael Thomas Murray. We bring the spirit of Asbury Park into all aspects of the arts. The objective is to move audiences, open minds and give you the artistic experience of a lifetime.

The story of "internationally ignored song stylist" Hedwig Schmidt, a fourth-wall smashing East German rock 'n' roll goddess who also happens to be the victim of a botched sex-change operation. This outrageous, unexpectedly hilarious story is performed by Hedwig (née Hansel) in the form of a rock gig/stand-up comedy routine backed by the hard-rocking band "The Angry Inch." HEDWIG will pierce you, stun you and move you beyond anything you've seen before.
